Chris Hill is one of Ireland's leading photographers. His career started in 1978 when he made his name in theatre and sports photography, winning several awards. It quickly expanded to cover all aspects of advertising, including fashion work, landscapes and production stills for television drama and film.
His assignments have taken him to California, New York, Washington, Brazil, Dubai, Oman, Kenya, Morocco, Egypt, Rome, Barcelona, Denmark, Holland, Portugal, Crete and France as well as throughout the British Isles.
Chris has regularly photographed for the National Trust over the last 20 years. In the same period he has photographed extensively for the Northern Ireland Tourist Board, and has taken commissions for the Belfast Visitor and Convention Bureau.
He was a major photographic contributor to Harbinson's Spectacular Ireland, The visitors Guide to Northern Ireland the Reader's Digest Guide to Ireland, Enchanted Ireland, The Insight Guide to Ireland, The Thomas Cook Guide to Ireland and Explorer Ireland. He has also photographed Laganside since its concept in 1986.
His studio in Belfast houses www.scenicireland.com, Northern Ireland's most comprehensive Picture Library from which images of the Ireland are sold throughout the world.
