Scenic Ireland : Irish Photography Books from Christopher Hill
Scenic Ireland: The Province of Munster
Scenic Ireland: The Province of Munster takes the reader on a tour through each of Munster's six counties to drink in its magnificent scenery while visiting sites of historic interest along the way. The journey unfolds through over 150 stunning photographs taken by Ireland’s leading landscape photographer Chris Hill, and is annotated by his close friend and travelling companion, Colin McCadden. Research, planning and driving were all shared as together they roamed the length and breadth of the province in a Campervan, allowing them to get off the beaten track and discover the most breathtaking scenery, at any hour, from dusk till dawn. Munster claims the island’s most southerly point at Mizen Head in Cork, its most westerly at Dunmore Head in Kerry, and its highest at Carrantuohill Mountain in the Macgillycuddy’s Reeks. It is the first region on the island to benefit from the warm air and waters that make their way up from the Gulf of Mexico and which help to give the entire island its moderate and temperate climate.
